AICET (AI Centre for Educational Technologies), a leading innovator at the intersection of AI and education, proudly announces the impressive achievement of its software engineers, Phillmont and Jonathan, who clinched 4th place at Huawei Tech4City 2024 Competition. Additionally, the team also won the Swan & Maclaren Social Impact Award, sponsored by the Swan & Maclaren Group. Competing against 83 other teams, their project Cikgo stood out for its innovative approach to using AI for inclusivity and sustainability.
Hosted in Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore on October 11, the event drew participants from all of Singapore, focused on developing AI solutions that contribute meaningfully to society. Organized by Huawei, the competition aligns with Singapore’s strategic digital and environmental objectives, providing a platform for showcasing transformative ideas that could potentially reshape our future through technology.
The project highlighted the potential of AI to mirror real-life teacher-student interactions, emulating the affective components that make for a effective learning experience. Their work deeply embeds AICET’s mission to revolutionize education through AI, and showcases how technology can tailor individuals’ learning experiences and make high-quality personalized education more accessible.
