Exploring the Future of Education with AI
On October 1, 2025, a delegation from the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Lifelong Learning Bureau, led by General Director Jin Woo Jung, visited AICET to discuss future educational innovation. The visit underscored Seoul’s commitment to exploring how AI technologies can be integrated into its lifelong learning ecosystem.

A Glimpse into the Future: The AI Coaching Demo
A key highlight of the visit was a presentation by Professor Ben Leong, who showcased a generative AI model designed for professional development. He provided a live demonstration of a chatbot providing real-time coaching for a manager-subordinate consultation. The screen, which showed the final evaluation and a summary of the session, captivated the delegation, offering a clear view of how AI coaching works in practice.

AI Era: The Evolving Role of Educators
The demonstration led to a deeper discussion about the changing role of educators. Professor Ben Leong emphasized that teachers must not only master new technologies but also develop the ability to write effective ‘prompts’ to achieve specific learning goals. He stressed that this broadened skill set, combined with an expanded vision, is essential for educators in the AI era.

Realizing the Possibilities of Adult Learning
During the discussion on the application of AI in adult learning, Professor Ben Leong asserted that “anything is possible” given the right investment of time and resources. The visit concluded with a meaningful dialogue on practical strategies to prevent dropouts and maintain high engagement among adult learners, reaffirming the shared goal of making education more accessible and effective.
This collaborative exchange at AICET marked a significant step in charting a new course for lifelong learning in Seoul.
