On September 26, 2025, a 14-member delegation from the Busan Metropolitan Council — including representatives from the Education and Construction & Transportation Committees — visited AICET. Led by Chairperson KANG MUGIL, the delegation sought to experience Singapore’s EdTech ecosystem first-hand, which is widely recognized as a global benchmark in AI-driven education.

This visit went far beyond a routine overseas program. The delegation demonstrated strong dedication and commitment, reflecting Busan’s determination to adopt Singapore’s advanced EdTech expertise and operational best practices in its pursuit of becoming a true “Future Educational City.”
A key highlight of the program was the presentation by Professor Ben Leong, who shared two of Singapore’s most notable EdTech success stories:

· The Student Learning Space (SLS): A robust national platform that ensured uninterrupted delivery of learning content to students during the COVID-19 lockdown.
· The Teacher Communication Platform: Actively used by more than half of Singapore’s teachers on a voluntary basis, fostering collaboration, resource sharing, and peer support across schools.

The Busan delegation gained valuable insights from these best practices — particularly the SLS and teacher collaboration models — which provided practical inspiration for integrating AI-driven innovation into Busan’s education system.
This meaningful exchange at AICET marked a decisive step forward for Busan Education, truly embodying the vision of:
“AICET’s EdTech: Paving the Way for a New Era of Busan Educational Innovation.”
