September 25, 2025 – The Gyeonggi Provincial Council’s Education Administration Committee concluded an overseas training session at AICET, aimed at accelerating future education initiatives. Chaired by Committee Chairperson Lee Ae-Hyung, the delegation included 25 members, including council committee members and officials from the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education.

The session featured an impactful presentation and insights from Professor Ben, whose commentary on educational transformation proved highly valuable. Attendees remarked that the visit provided a meaningful opportunity to benchmark Singapore’s experiences for potential application in Korean education policy.
Professor Ben opened the session by reviewing the educational shifts following the COVID-19 pandemic and provided an overview of AICET’s journey from 2021 to 2025. Drawing on Singapore’s experience as a nation pioneering the integration of AI into its education system, he shared critical insights into the efficiency and effectiveness of AI utilization in schools.

He addressed the growing concerns and worries regarding the current digital tools and technologies in education. Professor Ben then offered a crucial perspective, stating that while “Tech problems are easy. The hard problems are the people problems,” he strongly reinforced the belief that teachers must always remain at the center of educational progress.
This successful session follows a previous visit from Gyeonggi-do Office of Education last December, marking another important exchange. The session is expected to significantly contribute to the development of education and the effective use of Generative AI in Korea.
