Hong Kong Baptist University Educators Visit AICET for AI Education Exchange
On 21 April 2025, 37 K–12 educators from Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) visited AICET for an AI education exchange. The delegation, led by Dr. Theresa Kwong, Director of the Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning (CHTL), included winners of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Blended Learning Project Case Contest. DPM Heng Swee Keat Visits AICET On 12 Mar 2025, Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Heng Swee Keat, visited the AI Centre for Educational Technologies (AICET). He was joined by Mr John Lim, CEO of the National Research Foundation. It is not commonly known, but the AICET was initiated by DPM during COVID under the Fortitude Budget in 2020. Singapore was then in the midst of a global crisis. One key thrust of our national strategy was to “invest” ourselves out of the crisis so that Singapore would emerge stronger. Hong Kong University Delegation Visits AICET
On 11 Mar 2025, a delegation from the Innovation Wing of Hong Kong University (HKU) visited the AI Center of Educational Technologies (AICET) at NUS. The delegation, consisting of 2 faculty members and 16 undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds, including Rwanda, Scotland, Bolivia, India, China, and Hong Kong, engaged in a series of insightful discussions. Collaboration between AICET and Boon Lay Secondary School
On 7 Mar 2025, the AICET Pedagogy Team visited Boon Lay Secondary School (BLS) to explore the school’s innovative use of edtech. The team received a warm welcome from Principal, Mr Inderjit Singh, and the BLS teachers. The various lesson observations and discussions highlighted how BLS leverages digital tools to personalize and enrich student learning experiences. Going forward, AICET is excited to collaborate with BLS to develop AI-solutions that would be of value to the school community.

AICET and Temasek Polytechnic Deepen AI Collaboration
On 28 Feb 2025, AICET at NUS hosted a sharing session with educators from Temasek Polytechnic (TP) to explore AI applications in education. AICET’s in-house platforms—ScholAIstic, Softmark, and Cikgo—garnered strong interest from TP educators, sparking insightful discussions and a dynamic Q&A session. As part of ongoing collaboration efforts, AICET and TP are formalizing a Collaborative Agreement to further strengthen long-term cooperation in AI-driven education.

Gangwon State Hongcheon Office of Education Visit to AICET
On 5 Feb 2025, the Gangwon State Hongcheon Office of Education visited AICET to explore digital education practices and technology integration. Professor Ben Leong gave a talk on AICET’s vision, projects, and ongoing work; the discussion then focused on the key areas of Digital Tool Integration, Digital Literacy, Teacher Training, Collaborative Learning, and Education Policy. The Gangwon State Hongcheon Office of Education serves one of South Korea’s leading regions in education and innovation. It was a fruitful exchange of views and a rewarding visit for our guests.

On 23 Jan 2025, Professor Ben Leong, Director/AICET, was interviewed by the Korean Education Broadcasting Station (EBS) for its special program, “Korea’s Grand Educational Plan: Education is Hope”. Airing on 15 Feb and 22 Feb 2025, the program explored AI education trends in the UK, USA, and Singapore. Prof. Leong’s segment, featured on 15 Feb, highlighted the development and impact of the Singapore Student Learning Space (SLS), a key platform supporting educators and students.
