AICET Showcases ScholAIstic at UM-NUS Joint Academic Symposium

On 29 July 2026, AICET’s ScholAIstic platform was featured at the UM-NUS Joint Academic Symposium, as part of a research and project exhibition highlighting AI and educational technology work from both universities. Held at Capella Singapore, Sentosa — the symposium brought together scholars, researchers, and institutional leaders from National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Universiti Malaya (UM) to explore cutting-edge AI developments in healthcare, molecular modeling, robotics, and trustworthy multimodal AI.

The event concluded in a prestigious Gala Dinner attended by distinguished guests, including Singapore President and NUS Chancellor Tharman Shanmugaratnam, NUS President Professor Tan Eng Chye, and UM Chancellor Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah. As part of the showcase on educational technology and AI-driven computing, Lianhe Zaobao highlighted how both universities are advancing practical, high-impact AI solutions for learning and research.

Representing AICET on the Regional Stage

AICET was proudly represented by Edtech Development Specialists Karina Yuen Ka Hei and Loon Jia Hui Bernice.

Serving as the driving force behind the demonstration, Karina and Bernice skillfully showcased the platform’s advanced pedagogical capabilities, eloquently articulating how ScholAIstic bridges the gap between cutting-edge generative AI and scalable, high-impact teaching solutions.

They explained how ScholAIstic is an educator-friendly generative AI platform pioneer-developed by AICET to deliver safe, structured, and highly customizable learning experiences across NUS.

By grounding AI in sound pedagogical principles, ScholAIstic delivers tangible impact across key dimensions:

  • No-Code AI Customization: Empowers educators across all disciplines to design bespoke learning activities—from interactive AI tutors to immersive role-play simulations—without requiring any technical or coding expertise.
  • Secure, Guided Exploration: Provides students with a safe and controlled sandbox environment to actively apply skills, test critical thinking, and navigate complex concepts at their own pace.
  • Deep Learning Insights: Equips instructors with real-time analytics and detailed visibility into how students reason, make decisions, and navigate learning tasks.
  • Scalable Personalisation: Delivers instant, tailored feedback that helps students refine their understanding and achieve subject mastery.

Reaching Across Disciplines and Sectors

ScholAIstic’s versatility has already driven widespread adoption across NUS, supporting diverse faculties and disciplines including Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Social Work, Business, and Computing. Beyond campus borders, ScholAIstic is being actively adopted by other educational institutions and public-sector agencies across Singapore, demonstrating AICET’s commitment to driving educational innovation on a national scale.
